Dignity and Respect Statement
Pomfit is an inclusive, all shaking, all dancing activity that we all love to take part in. The class can make you forget about your problems, put things in perspective, allow you to work out your worries and frustrations and just have fun! This is what Pomfit is all about. As group we want to care about and respect each other. If someone is going through difficult times, wants to forget about things or just make friends, this is the group for you. It even gets you fit and toned!
In order to ensure that the atmosphere and environment in our classes allow us all to flourish, then we need to show politeness and sensitivity to others. We are all adults and the Instructor is just an instructor. She is there to instruct us in a fun activity and whilst she has a responsibility for our health and safety in class, she is not able to direct or influence the behaviour of other class members. We are all responsible adults and we have a responsibility to our fellow members to enable classes to be delivered in a safe and harmonious way.
When in class we will treat each other with the resect and patience that we would want to be treated. Any issues from outside the class should not be brought into the class. Any disruption of the class environment that prevents the successful delivery of the class to others cannot be allowed to take away the fun and enjoyment of others. In the unfortunate event that this occurs, the members causing the issues may be asked to leave the class. In this event, they will receive a refund for that class. They are free to come to their next class with no questions asked (we all have bad days), but they are expected to have resolved any issues in a way that will lead to no further incidents. It is not the role of the Instructor to do this.
We want to ensure that Pomfit remains a safe, inclusive and positive place for all our members.
